i was told that the tear on his tail has been there for a long time and has shown no signs of healing. any suggestions on how i can get the tear healed?

I had an indo with similar wound. the tail had a been bitten, and the tear in fin went right back to the tissue, therefore took ages to heal. I forget the exact time, bu roughly about 8to 9 months. It didn't help, when the other indo in tank kept bullying him.
