We don't have a sump and were looking to make the stand as sturdy as possible. Hence the back beam, more of a sway bar effect. Plus it sits against a wall so it's never in the way.

i really like the wainscoting. i haven't decided yet on how to skin my 180 and this is moving into the lead. the hinge style goes perfect with it too. nicely done.
