my first take at a brack tank.......

hi i am going to be starting a brack tank(50g) with 1.02 specific gravity
and this tank is going to be for 3 2-3" toadfish
and may be a few archers
will be adding some mangroves to the tank
was deciding whether i could add some archers too
the tank filtration will be 400g/hr

have done quite a reading on setting up a brack tank and will also be taking some help from him

any other things i should be aware of and if anything is being done wrong, pray do advice

You might want to go a little higher then 1.002 with your SG, I would shoot for 1.006 to 1.008 at least.

Archers should be okay with Toad Fish as long as you get the archers big enough where the toads cant eat them, and the toads can eat things almost the same size as them. The archers also don't venture down to the bottom of the tank very often, so they have that going for them as well.

no idea about the lingo used for bracks

The half-filled mangrove tank thing would basically be a paludarium. The tank wouldn't be filled all the way with water. Instead, there would be some room above the water line, where mangrove trees could stick out of the water. This (with the addition of some sticks or something for live food to perch on) would allow your archers to do their famous hunting trick.
