Ignore all the parrot posts (unless he gets beat up). Your wife has to look at the tank too! Its your tank and I think it looks great, especially for the 1st time aroound. Great job!!
about filtration, so far it is working just as planned. didn't mention that i had 2 #4 koralia powerheads pushing water from one side to the other. you can't tell me that there isn't enough movement of water without seeing them work for yourself.

Nice set up bro. The Parrot is going to take a beating so take it back and put it down on a some more fish. And, Fronts aren't all that impressive in my book. A very large male is going to be cramped in that tank and limit what else you can do. 1 large male or three Mbuna or peacocks? I'll take the mbuna or peacocks...
next time build the stand if your handy enough and you could take off at least $200 of the grand total. Share more pics in the photo lounge. Welcome to MFK
