Those are some great looking fish and its awesome how they get along so well. Are you willing to trade or sell some fry if the breeding worksout?
thanks mrouch for your knowledge its very comforting i thought i screwed up big time its helpful. also after female laid eggs i waited about an hour then removed female leaving male alone with eggs is this the right thing to do?
im willing to trade or sale but i do not know how to ship livestock.

From what I've read, you're suppose to remove the male after he fertilized the eggs which can take about an hour. I did this and let the female take care of the eggs and she constantly fanned the eggs to clean them and even removed the white (unfertilized) eggs. I then siphoned the eggs once they hatched into a 10 gallon tank and started to feed them once they could swim on their own. I also read that you can leave them fry with the female as long as she doesnt eat the eggs or babies. And she will raise them on her own.
You can just continue with the way you're going right now and if it works youre in luck and if not there's always trial and error. You can try again when she lays her eggs in 6-8weeks.
yea i'll try this way for now cuz whats done is done and next time ima try ur way but ima use the thai silk with the zz see how that will turn out
