I don’t even know how to begin this thread. As some may know my house underwent renovation 4 months ago. My 6ft tank with my bichirs and arowana were placed in a secluded part of the house while the other parts were under construction. 2 days ago the tank was moved into the correct location of the new, renovated home by the tank movers.
yesterday when I finally got back to my new home, I checked the tank. 3 bichirs, just missing. The day before the tank was moved by the “tank movers”, all my fish were checked to be there. My 17” WC lapardei, 14” CB ansorgii, 10” CB lapardei bichirs all gone. I don’t even know if it’s a “sorry for your loss” kinda thing. Even though a police report has been made, I don’t think much can be done ?

That's awful, I'd be mad as hell. Gotta make sure they didn't escape themselves, and what if the movers moved them into buckets, and then just kinda forgot step two - didn't steal them - just forgot to finish the job?
It could also be another case. however the arowana and 5 of the other bichirs were put back into the tank. They can’t possibly have forgotten to add in 3 large bichirs?
When the first Time the tank was moved to the desolated area, me and my father were there to watch the process so there wouldn’t be anything wrong. However when the tank was moved to its new location this time, no one was supervising the procedure. Another thing suspicious: one of the tank movers is a fish owner as well ??

What? You mean you can't trust a professional "tank mover" to carefully and properly transfer large fish out of a tank, drain/re-locate/re-fill with properly treated water, re-start all filtration and associated equipment, and then re-introduce the fish...completely unsupervised???

I'm aghast!

Nobody touches my tanks.

Exactly, I thought so too. It’s a company, I thought it would be trustful. Now I’m missing 3 if my bichirs.
