I last saw them this past Friday about 6pm. I came back today at 8 pm and noticed they have ich?

My parents fed them on Saturday and Today. I checked the water level and everything is fine.

Now they are all at the bottom of the tank and won't eat.:(

So what is the best way to treat it? This sucks especially since I was getting their bigger tank this week.

Are they going to die?

Bump the temperature up to about 85 F and add salt (I would say a teaspoon for every 5 gallons, although some people here have said a tablespoon for every 5 gallons). Try not to bug them too much the next couple of days, except for daily gravel vacs.

Thanks for the quick reply. So I should not use medication then right?

Yeah I did a water change Friday and then today when I saw the ich.

I did add the aquarium salt but I need to go and buy an adjustable heater because the one I have keep the water between 78 and 80.

However it is freaking hot here in Hell Paso right now and the temp seems to be constant at 81/82

Best way to get rid of ich is salt and increase the temp. If that doesnt work, I suggset using Ich Attack. Its 100% oragnic and has done the trick for me in the past when the salt and temp werent enough, it was also an easier treatment on the fish... some products can be harder on the fish than what you are trying to kill off...

Thanks for the heads up on the Ich Attack. That is exactly what I am trying to avoid is using harsh meds on the fish.

Natural herbal organic medicine...sounds like BS. I have used a half dose of quick-cure with yo-yo loaches. It worked fine.
