my fish jumped out...now what

I hada red claw crab crawl up an ait tube once.He went from the dining room to my bedroom(under a closed door!).About 30'.That was his final resting place.BTW can we get an update?Is your guy still alive?
 
How far a fish can go depends on the type of fish, some die almost at once, hatchetfish can go several feet before even hitting the ground, climbing perch can get into the next room at least, and I had an eel that went from the living room, across the kitchen, out the doorand about 40-50' to the nieghbor pool. luckily they did not chlorinate as it to a couple hours to catch the sob.
 
i went out last night came back and it turns out he jumped out again. it was dried up and literally scraped him off the floor! i had a heavy duty cover for the tank too, but he found the 2x4" hole on top where the water flows in from the hob. the sob deserves to die! :headbang2

Sorry to hear about your suicidal JD...I still can't find mine. And the cat hasn't been in the house for weeks...
