They're kinda like plastic ribbed hoses. The common types we find in LFS except that they're blue. Although I would really prefer the black ones. But I'll wait till they're worn out before I replace them with black ones.

Just an 800ltr/hr powerhead going to a 2 feet OHF. Filter media is just filter wool with some bioballs.
