Man those clown loaches for sale??

awsome tanks man and great looking dovii! what happened to the female? and how to you keep the glass so clean? my tank started getting this nreally green hard to scrub off algae and wenever i put my hand in teh tank the female dovii goes nuts. and i'm a little scared to syphon because i dont want to suck up any fry

Thank you :) Female is still in with him but she hides out in the tubing all the time. The hard green algae can be from high nutrients in the water. I'd wait till your fry are free swimming for a couple weeks and then I'd remove them in their own tank. If you use a couple nets, you can herd the fry quite easily if you go slow (fry have never seen a net so they don't know its danger if you don't chase them with it). Sometimes doing to large of a clean-up or water change can alter the environment to drastically, causing your parents to stress and eat the fry. When I'm breeding I just top the tank up and remove the fry once they can handle themselves without the parents.

Alright thanks! Ye I'm from Windsor and it's hard to sell all these fry. Especially when they keep breeding non stop. What do u do with all of them? Lol I only got another 90 gallon 20 and a 5

Yeah, your location sucks to sell them. I ended up selling mine to Big Als in Mississauga...far drive for you. I was selling mine also on Kijiji and I'd hit up your local fish stores to see if they'll purchase any. There is a wholesaler out of Toronto called "Fish and Bird"...they deliver fish all over ontario and will pick up anything they purchase from you if they are in town (my friend used to sell them EBJD's). Shoot them an email and see if they are interested.

I totally agree with you. I've had people tell me to get rid of them and make room for something else...can't see that happening. I want to actually do a purely barb tank...that would be awesome :)

Please don't, barbs that size are hilariously expensive here in TX....those barbs will only get better with time....try Puntius denisonii and some loaches for a Asian biotope setup
