My fish tanks

Great pics and awesome tanks! My two faves are the first planted tank and the first saltwater tank and my favorite pics are the shrimp and trigger pic. The shrimp pic takes skill as an aquarium floor is one of the hardest places to get a decent focus on and the shrimps small size makes it that much harder. As for the trigger pic it's a combination of how well the colors came out and the angle of the pic which adds to the pics character. I think that first saltwater tank would look good with a black background to help make the whites and colors pop from the contrast. Again great pics and tanks.

Thank you for all the tips :) I took them all with a cell phone and now I switched to and note 3 and will have to figure out how to use the camera good. I'm going to look in to getting a real camera any suggestions?

My pleasure, as for cameras it depends on what kind of money your looking to spend. I'm using a Canon Rebel T1i but I haven't looked at cameras for awhile and their have been a lot of DSLR offers from Canon since, which is better for the money I couldn't tell you. What I can tell you is if your using a DSLR you want to not use a flash unless it's a remote over head and focus manually, you also want to use the lowest ISO setting possible as the ISO compensates for low light conditions but does so at the cost of quality in the form of noise/grainy picture. Light and keeping the camera steady is probably the most important aspects of using any camera. The more light the better the image captured. Even with regular cameras usually there are settings(though there limited) you can work with so what I said above can also be applied to them to a lesser degree. If you want a more detailed explanation and help feel free to pm me and I'll answer your questions as best as I can.

nice tanks, is that a tiny baseball cap in your reef tank? lol

Thank you Yep tuxedo urchins decorate their self with random stuff I found a little plastic baseball cap and gave it to him he wore it for two days lol
