my fish wont eat in front of me

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
From my experience with Red Bellies, it takes a loooong time for them to really open up to you. I think mine started eating in front of me after a year I had them. Best advice that i can give ya is to be patient and provide enough hiding places and your fish will eventually come around.

same experience I had when I 1st bought my P's, try to be always at the room so they will know you are there always. I keep my lights on and always walk in front of the tank so they will know that Im there to stay hehehe.

My tank is in the basement so there is hardly any traffic for the tank. I just leave the lights on in the tank and off in the room so that they cant see me coming up to feed them. Works pretty well.

ive had my pair for a year and they still won't eat live food when im in the room but they let me watch them eat bloodworms

move ur tank to an area with alot of traffic and they wont care..

my tank is in my study room and we are always in there..

my piranhas were only skittish for the first couple days.. after that they ate with anyone/everyone in the room..
