What does your nitrate concentration usually run in most of your tanks as a maximum?
One thing I like to do is paint the ends of tanks if I will not be able to see into that end (if the tank is against a wall or end to end with another tank). You will see the paint from the inside so it looks a little sharper. It can also make some fish feel more secure and less jumpy.
I personally can't stand gravel anymore. I use a certain sand in all my tanks that never causes the problems people always cite for not using sand. It is a lot cleaner and more natural.
Nitrate is usualy at 0 when I'm doing the water change, but it's happen sometimes that I have something like 0,15

I like this idea, but unfortunately, it is a bit late for this since everything is already installed

I use a kind of sand in my Gibberosa (Kapampa) wild tank because it is help to keep the pH level higher, but with my central american cichlids I have already tried it but it caused a lot of damage to my FX5 and Eheim Pro II.
I feed my fish mostly with pellets from Kenfish, beef heart, shrimps, and sometimes during summer, I find earthworms in the garden and they like them very much
Excellent fish room, Branch. The tanks and room were very clean looking and all the fish looked happy and healthy. Your hard work has paid off in it's presentation, you should be very proud, I'm sure anyone here would be happy to have even one of those tank setups in their collection. Gorgeous fish too.
