My Flooded Forest Discus Tank...Up-Date!

I have both in with my discus. I wasn't expecting the neons to do too well, but they are fine. They have been in the tank for 3 months now, and the cardinals have been in there for 6 months.

I prefer Cardinals as they grow larger and have brighter coloration than neons.

Your domestic discus are used to more light and would be happy with it. I have Heckels and I use light just barely strong enough to grow Amazon Sword Plants but they would be happy with ambient room light only but I like to see my fish.

Too stong of a light can make your fishes colours look different than usual.
