My Florida gar has an elastic band around him, is it harmful?

Oh its gone, I already did a page ago. Considering I'm being criticised for snapping pictures instead of looking after my fish I won't take any follow up pictures except for this unrelated picture of his tankmate

As long as no sweat bands fall in to the tank the tank mate should be good too. Try not to jazzercise next to your tank with the lid open just to be safe
