I have these two flowerhorn and i have them set-up in a 55 with the divider waiting for them to get used to each other. the female layed eggs about 2 weeks ago with no male present. side note: is that normal on my female with more color to have that much of her tube hanging out???its been like that since a couple days after she layed the eggs. also... am i right in thinking the one with less color is a male?? he started digging in another tank so i figured i'd move them in together. so i guess soon if they get used to each other i'll move the divider and let em go at it. any suggestions or comments on how i could improve this project please let me know. your comments are appreciated.

Good luck! Your water is crystal, it looks like your fish is floatling.

FH's come in a variety of color, some are colorless (like your male) he's good looking (from what I can tell on my blackberry) lots of pearls, a little kok popping. I'd start pumping him with high protein foods to see if you can't get that head a little bigger.

Good luck!

Is it just me or, is there something wrong with that female?

like that thing coming out of her bum?
lol

good luck, i wonder what they will look like.

IMO try to use a KOKster male its alright if it doesnt have nice color

and use a female that has good colors.

KOK its always genetically pass down. if the father is not a kokster none of the progeny will be one. colors can always be enhance by color enhancers.
i suggest you do not pair them up. but if you insist and for the experience, GL man:D
