Is he still scare of human?

I don't know how to explain it.. its just.. whenever I approach the tank sometimes, he rams into the sides and heater and etc.. but after staying there for a while.. he calms down and starts chasing my hand whenever I put my hand on the tank, but when I stand up and walk away he freaks out again.

Give it time, he's still trying to gain your trust only. Just play and stare at your fish often. I usually stare at my fish at least a few minutes each day with my face up against the tank. Some fish can take a while to gain your trust back...
If your fish acts that way, its slowly adjusting itself to you and others. You can lower the temp down into the high 70's. No need for a higher temp when they are not sick or so on. As long as it eats, and its only stress with going on about being scared of humans. It'll be fine...

Would 78 be a good temp?

I don't think its fine.. its injuring its hump pretty badly because of it..

Yes I understand that it is the issue here, but there is practically nothing you can do about it. Only to keep in touch with your fish and try to spend as much time as you can with it. So your fish can gain its trust back. To me it seems only like your fish is scare still thinking itself as being the prey instead of being the predator.

I have been having the same problem with a growout kamfa that I have had for 5 months now. Got as a tiny fry,and all of the sudden she just started to freak out similar to what u were describing , I know that if I had no top on that tank she would have soared out of that water a few times by now. But I just was thinkng and I recently (about 4 days ago)moved her from a very busy part of my home to a very quiet part , and I am thinking that is why she is acting like that. So this evening I moved her back to a more busy area, and will let you know how she does.

The spot where my tank is not very busy.. Occasionally people walk by there to get water but thats about it.. and if I didn't have a lid, my fh would have been on the ground many times as well.. I hope my fh gets better.. :(

My fingers are crossed for you, just give him some time.
