My flowerhorn stop taking pellets. I fed him twice daily with alternatively okiko platinum and optimum quick red. When I give him pellets he take first 1-2 pellets but having some difficulty of chewing it. But after that he take the pellet in mouth and then throw the pellet from mouth. Yesterday I noticed stringy white poop and I think he got hexa or any internal parasite. But today the faeces looks normal red but circuitous. I think I should deworm him. I dont have Epsom salt right now so can I apply rock salt? I will use metrogyl or flagyl tablets. Want to know which method is more effective and safe - oral method where we make a mixture and inject into fish gut by a syringe or put the mixture in tank?

Okiko is not a good food in my opinion, too much protein, low quality ingredients, very low fiber.

Epsom salt bath can work, since that's not available to you, use metro + water and soak pellet in it. Make sure fish is hungry and will eat pellet immediately so that pellet won't stay in water too long.

It not showing any interest in pellets. Can I give metro solution directly in mouth through syringe? Is it safe?

Ok thanks. I will feed the mixture through pellets tomorrow and will put that mixture in water also. After the first treatment when will start the next one? And what about water changes during the treatment? Is it 50% or less?

Do 30-50% every 3 days. Every time you do water change dose some metro. Try to get liquid if possible.
