Ah, I see. What can you tell me about there diet? Right now it's eating cichlid gold, frozen cubes of mysis shrimp, krill ( i have to break them really small though i have a big frozen sheet) and lastly massivor pellets. I feed 3 X's a day smaller doses. I used to feed just one big meal.

Also it's funny this is the most response I have gottin on my flowerhorn, lol.

Cichlid Gold as in Hikari Gold am I correct? If it is Hikari Gold, then your doing just fine. Although there is better staple flowerhorn pellets out there(New Life, ChingMix, Grand Sumo, Hai Feng and so on). As far as mysis shrimp goes, they are okay. Krill is a great frozen food source and so is blood worms. 3x feeding a day is a great start for young flowerhorns. Just remember to skip 1 day and let the fish digest everything before the next feeding.

Ah, see i wouldnt have thought about a rest period, good to know. I will look into those other pellets you mentioned aswell. I could always go back to blood worms, i was just trying something different I used to keep a little container of live bloodworms in the fridge.
