My Flowerhorn

Just got a new filter for the tank and am now running a SunSun HW-304B along with an Aquatop CF 400UV. Having a minor issue with high nitrates so hopefully the additional filter and more frequent WC's will help me. Just started feeding him NLS Chichlasoma from Hikari Cichlid gold. Noticed with the gold he made a mess and regularly puked a lot of it up. Other than that I am starting to see noticeable growth in his KOK and it looks like it might be a decent one. Also his color is starting to pop a lot more. Really pleased with this fish already after 2-3 weeks definitely one of my better implies buys
Starting to see some more growth and Kok growth. I've solved the puking problem by allowing him to over eat compared to the three other fish. I have noticed recently he's starting show his bars more often but I believe it's because of dominance and not stress. He usually takes a run at the tinfoils when he darkens his bars. His pearling is coming in even more and he has some pretty cool pearling clumps right under his dorsal fin. Two nights ago I found out that this thing can jump. Had my hand about 3" above the tank looking at something on the tank and next thing I knew he had jumped and bit me. Not sure if I was more surprised or impressed with the whole thing
Well not sure if anyone saw my post from the freshwater disease section but arrived home from vacation to a large bubble coming from the anus and finally having it diagnosed as a prolapsed anus. Started to treat the fish with Epsom salt and the following day the bubble went away and it looked like a normal prolapsed anus. This morning I checked him out and it looked like more of the anus had come out but the fish was still swimming normally sadly I came home from work today with him on his side barely breathing. Really bummed about this he was a beautiful fish and my first Flowerhorn. Luckily on Saturday as a backup I ended up picking another one up. There were only three flowerhorns left with this one being the best looking and has an incridable amount of red on him/her compared to the others also had the best flower line. So if anyone can help me sex it that'd be great as well
