I'm not to worried, but its a bit odd, today he has gone a kinda purpley (is that a word lol?) colour and he wont eat any of the pellets i put in the tank, he seems a little stressed and skittish rather than his usual excited, greedy, aggressive self :S

Water stats are fine, hes due his usual 50% waterchange tomorrow, he hasn't been over fed or anything and theirs nothing else in his 70g with him.

This is what he normally looks like

And today he looks like this...

Not an expert at all but sometimes fish get in slumps especially if they lose confidence. I had a jaguar and if you stuck your hand in the tank it would scare him and if you put your hand near him he would hide in the corner and become depressed for a week or two. Fish do seem to have emotions of sole kind so maybe hes upset and if thats the case it should just pass. Not saying this is whats goin on just throwin it out there

Well he just bit my daughter lol, so thats a good sign, usually he is as playful as it gets and likes nothing more than chasing your hand, usually it is impossible to put your hand in the tank, and hes only 6" big so god knows how evil hes going to be at 12", this is just really out of character for him to be like this, makes me wonder if its something bad :S

Check the temperature of the water. Sometimes the heater breaks down even though its plugged in.
