Current is strong and the turtle new...not sure exactly how to time the release of the food so he can suck it in.....I will try a different method tomorrow. I figure a little hunger will help it figure everything out!
Thanks! Thats what I did....I used my long tongs...I got two frozen silversides in him yesterday and three today. I was holding it too tight or letting go too soon....I have it down now.....I was afraid it would take much longer to get it onto frozen food. The previous owner fed only live. I never use feeders in my tank......ever. Very happy it has no issues with it at all!demjor19;5040168;5040168 said:Very nice turtle! Try using a feeding stick, then you will be able to hold the food right in front of him.
Get a small one....almost like adding a fish!Vicious_Fish;5040248;5040248 said:Great turtle and I'm glad to hear it's eating for you as well. One of these days when I have the space I'm going to get one.

I hear ya...the only reason I am still alive is that the turtle went into an existing tank! I told her no new lights, equiptment or special food and she was OK.Vicious_Fish;5040482;5040482 said:Ehh....I have no room right now. Besides, I have 8 turtles already and my wife will kill me if I bring home something else, lol.
