My Free 180 Gallon

Picked up this 180 Gallon and Stand for free Saturday. It needs a bit of elbow grease to get the calcium deposits off.

Whats the best tool for the job? Whats the best way to do it? Any tricks from folks who have cleaned up reef tanks?

I always used PH up....or PH down, forget which one. which ever one says "sulfuric acid" (or some kind of acid) for the main ingredient. I forget what it's called. It's been a while since I needed to use it. The calcium comes right off. It's amazing how fast it works. Just make sure to use gloves and to wash out the tank when done.

Anyone else used it?

Razor and lemon water or any water jiust put alot of citrus in there, safe for the fish and there will be a clean fresh scent

you do you rub that PH chemical into it or dump a bunch in and fill the tank and let it soak?

Never tried filling it up with it in the water......

Pour a little on a scrubbie pad, then scrub. Let it sit and soak in a while if it doesnt come off right away. Then scrub some more. Just keep repeating.
