my friend needs some help

first of all the guy insulted me when he was talking to my friend on the phone and told him i had no clue what i was talking about. Nice salesman skills. I told him i could get a 75 for 150 with everything. He said ur full of crap so i showed him the add. Hes said posted the add and it said i would like to get 250 but he wasnt willing to go down. Said he worked at a petstore and it was a good deal. Stupid

When you told him this, he probably thought you meant a NEW tank, and I looked at the pics from the other thread, and the tank stand looks 100% home made. And it's pretty cheap to make a stand.

I just picked up a used 55 gallon tank with a filter, and hood, and lights for $50. And it is well... brand new pretty much.

$150 is cheap. It all depends on the person though. If you are willing to take a loss with money, and are willing to let it go at that, then it's a deal. Some people just can not afford to take a loss on such things. The reason they are getting rid of the tank is probably because they need money.

I wouldn't have blurted out about the $150 tank because it's like any personal item. You may have a pair of shoes that you paid $400 for, and you want to sell them for $300, but someone else has the same pair for $200.

Tell your buddy to buy the 75 gallon and stop whining about it.
