My Frontosas are on a suicide mission

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had a 7 stripe 3 incher that jumped around a foot in the air then landed right back into the tank the other day when i was cleaning it. It was being chased by a heckelli. It was nuts!!

Did this happen at night or with the lights on?

I had a pleco that caused my front's to jump a couple of hours after the lights were turned off. Once he was gone, they stopped jumping. I've also had my alpha male bully a front until he jumped.

wow-sorry this happened! if you have a cover (my 180 gal tank is acrylic and has two pieces that cover openings on the top) and the fish can still manage to slam into it, lift the lid and get out i would get a book, or some rocks to keep the lids down while you arent there..

i hate seeing fish jump-i had a pleco jump and couldnt find the sucker for a few months-til i moved the tank and found his crispy corpse behind the tank lol

I heard a large splash one day. A few weeks later I found 2.5-3 inch front behind my tank stiff as a board. I only had a tiny opening where the filter enters the tank, he really wanted out to find that hole!
