Definitely not spotted gar. I have a true spotted from Sol in my tank, and these guys are nothing like them. You can trust that they're shortnose gars. They've been confirmed on here for a while.

Good to know. Not that it really matters anyhow . I just hate when people are under the impression that thier fish is something else. For example someone that has a FL gar thinks it is an alligator because of the name its sold under.
