My Gar Collection

I periodically have six species out of seven. I am always shy the gator gar, as I do not plan on housing anything that large currently. Right now I also am missing out on shortnose. Last time I had 6/7 was this past summer.

That is the issue - this one is coming from Wiggles - we are upgrading the current 120g tank it is in now to an (at least) 8'x3'x2' aqarium this winter. Hopefully it will be 8'x4'x2'.

This will only last a certain amount of time though as well as I realize - we are planning an indoor pond that is sort of my grand project here at work.

I really want 3/7/1

Im a gar newby - so Im not sure what that ratio means. On my collecting trip this january I am hoping to land a spotted, and early this summer/spring one of my employees hopefully will collect a shortnose for the collection.

Let's make it 3/7/0 by the end of the month, and 4/7/1 by the end of next summer.

Species Owned/Total Species/Hybrids (Owned?). That's my guess on the last number anyway.

Lep and I have been having trouble getting our schedules to line up so that I can meet up with him to get him to 3/7/0, and we've been trying to find longnose gars around us again as well as get some medius gars with no success (thus the "4/7/1 by the end of the summer" part).

The last number as ryan said is hybrids owned. We have been trying for the lng and ill be at 3/7/0 sunday unless he changes plans again . Really hope for 4/7/1 like he said by end of next year
