yikes i would definetly try to figure out whats happening
i wonder how would i do that..whenever i observe the tank i never see him get spooked and since the tank is in my room no one enters the room other than me. i dont understand why this keeps happening

mine was in a similar shape to when i 1st got mine.
take a look.
all i did was filled the tank with food and after many many times of restock with food its spine has become straight again.

this is the second time this has happened.the first time it straightened out the back like after 3 weeks.i dont know how long will it take now

Maybe get a webcam you can use to record the tank? You could record it to your hard drive, so you could watch it back later.

To save space, you could just have it rewrite over itself each day, and only keep the saved video if you notice him injured or acting funny.

I don't know, just a thought.

that would work only when the lights are on..but he does these funny things only at night when the lights are out. the cam wouldnt record anything in the dark and i cant leave the lights on the whole time.fish need the day and night cycle too

If you got a nightvision camera it would... or maybe use a moonlight, so that he's less likely to hurt himself in the future? Maybe he can't see the ends of the tank, something spooks him (like a cat or dog??), and he runs into the side, or jumps into the hood.

Hopefully he gets better and figures out NOT to do this in the future...
