I'm going with tankmates on this one since young peacock bass are a pain in the butt to keep alive, so the water quality must be pretty good.

I'm going with tankmates on this one since young peacock bass are a pain in the butt to keep alive, so the water quality must be pretty good.
Peacock bass are probably stressing the gar out. What I meant earlier by cover was related to decorations, plants, etc. in the aquarium. Smaller gars seem to enjoy hanging around some sort of cover, also seems to calm them down a bit.
I got alot of fake plants I just added a floating fake plant with he really likes because while i was trying to put it he would go in.
My smallest alligator gar (~3-4") refuses to eat feeders for some odd reason. It only accepts pieces of frozen whole krill, bloodworms, and small floating pellets; all of those food items are meant for its tankmate (a small catfish). And here I'm trying to grow it out properly by giving it feeders until its larger...
Maybe you could try giving it one or more of those food items?

No, they are not compatible.
What he meant was issues with the gar's spine, such as a broken back and other spinal problems, that will certainly have an effect on the gar at least at first.
x2 on the tank-mates... bad idea... not only is he likely getting out-competed for food, but bullied. it's possibly a spinal issue.. but my bet is the tank-mates...then WQ... PB are delicate when young.. but not as delciate as gar ime.

Can that be fixed if thats the problem because for some reason I have tried to feed him everything but he wont eat and the pbass are not even bothering the gar.
