Yes! Haha of course. Although, when younger, they further resemble an inside-out Oreo Cookie, haha
I give them a mix of freeze-dried krill and Cichlid Gold pellets everyday. They also get live rosies and the occasional live goldfish as snacks. They've eaten some of my Giant African Clawed Frog's reptile pellets, but I've only seen them eat one or two pellets during a feeding, so its deffinately not their "stable" diet.
It is a Florida Gar (Lepisosteus playrhincus). I also have it with a 18-20 inch long Longnose Gar.
