I feel bad for those goldies and your gars 
. The first goldfish is very unhealthy 
- I spot some parasite damage and many missing scales. They also have very little nutrional value. Also, even if it's for the slightest of time, you should never mix coolwater fish with tropicals. They have different slime coats, and can and will transmit diseases to each other. I can't imagine the pain the fish went through. That second goldfish was clearly bitten badly in the tail area and tossed around quite a bit before dying. Just imagine someone stabbing you about 70 times before you died. Would you want that to happen to your gars ?
Chopped, raw fish and shrimp are much better substitues

They grow to 8 feet... Some have been reported to measure 15 feet.
