Thanks, yeah, zero experience for me either, I'm getting pretty mixed estimates on growth rates...I'm going to add in some trout to his diet as soon as I can move some of the fish he currently shares his tank with.

Thanks, not alot of direct current no, there are 2 filter returns but they're spray bars + 2 sponge filters and 2 airstones...there is some turbulence I suppose...do you think he needs direct current to swim in?
