Thats cool, do they actually have muti-colors on them?

About the plant, it has to be way small than that. Looks like a tiny grass. I guess i need to ask the plant people..

About the deaths, any ideas? I want to save them because i dont like drive 2 hours for them.. unless i have to...

I added ten new ghost shrimp to my setup and after 3 days.. no deaths! So i think my setup is good for them now and a bonus one of the shrimp is prego i think? It has a green mass inside her? Is that prego?

Yah shes prego, expect the eggs in her head to be transfered under her tail in 1-2 weeks and another 1-2 weeks or so for them to hatch and become free swimming. Keep them happy and they should all start to form green masses in their hands (all the females at least). Good luck!

There are 4 that are prego now!!! The female is a monster shrimp too! Shes at least a inches and a quarter! Only problem, i cant get brine shrimp till after xmas so they will probably die sadly...

Well you can feed them pretty much anything that is crushed really really finely. Any sort of food designed for baby fish should work. Ideally, baby brine shrimp would be better but feeding them alternatives also works (though with a higher mortality rate). If you see them grabbing the larvae grabbing and eating the food then all is well. When I'm lazy or too busy, I feed them frozen brine shrimp, finely crushed whatever and i still get some babies to live. But if you feed nothing (that is very finely crushed) than survival rate is close to 0 (in my experience)

I have barely had any shrimp before and am new to intelligent aquarium keeping in general, but I am not sure you need to change the water daily.

How long does it take for the eggs to hatch, they were prego since 12/13?
