uwe>Thank you for the kind words,as well as everyone else.

i have 10 regular senegal, only this one giant seems to be still growing, the others just get fatter.

Hi Jess,

you have talked about an interesting thing:
Most P.senegalus seem to stop growing when they have reached a lenght of 10-11 inches. Most senegalus i've seen were about these lenght (except all those young ones). The senegalus i'm keeping are also about 10-11 inches since years. But they are OK and did breeding this year several times (without success).
In April 2008 i'd bought an onate, 3,5 inches in lenght ... now he has the same lenght as Mr. & Mrs.Sen - but he is even thicker!
I've read about the final lenght of P.senegalus different - even diffuse - things ... sometimes i've read about a lenght of 70(!)cm, that's in American measure 27,5 inches! Most people here are astonished about the 14 inches lenght of your sen ... what's wrong?
Probably confusion about senegalus / lapradei?

Greetings

Uwe

uwe>I am curious if the fishes size got this big because of the diet,he lives with the big guys so worms, pellets, shrimp, fish fillets, and frogs have been there diet.

i have had endli's breed with no hatching success.

I had an albino sen for 11 years,it was around 15 inches, all i have is some old Polaroid pictures of her.I know i can get this sen to that size.

i tried putting a ruler next to the fish but it always moves,he never sits still.I am not the type to take a fish out of its tank and put it next to a ruler for an effect picture.Maybe when i move him to his new all senegal tank i will do the ruler pics.I believe this fish is a bit over 14 inches.remember those endlis in the pictures are 16-20 inches.
