My gills are afraid of worms

They took a whole one, its just a matter of presenting it to them. I held it up so that only a small piece was touching the water and one them scarfed it down. They just get so aggressive with each other right before feeding sometimes that they freak out for a few seconds and hide from me.
I'd love some more plants but the budget is tight and I haven't been able to go collecting.
On the positive side, the pleco in the tank has figured out that potato=food.

lol i know bread can cause bloat, cant potatoes too? i mean theyre filled with starch
 
I wasnt sure about it myself but its listed in the pleco dietary sticky so I gave it a shot. It might be bad for any other kind of fish, or maybe its the yeast in bread that causes problems?
 
i dont think its the yeast cuz i think it all gets killed in the baking prosess
 
Oh they're eating the ones I've got. It's just sometimes they're a little skittish of being hand fed, and I don't want to drop the worms in and lose them in the gravel. One has taken one from my hand and the other grabbed one that fell to the bottom. It was really just the first time that there was a problem and I dont think they like me hovering over the tank too much. My Hoplo on the other hand has had no problem taking them from my hand but he's just cool like that. He's always checking my hands out when cleaning and what not.
 
proly should get some plants and have them hide and feel more secure

ha i love hand feeding i feed my lmb krill by hand daily lol
