oh ok thats kewl then, alot of people have black backgrounds but they come out kind of greyish in pics so you have to photoshop it to get it the darker black but thats awesome if thats how yours turns out normally in pics did you paint it or do you use something else for the background?

Basic run down goes like this....

500 gal tank with bottom footprint of 6'x4'.
I have a 15 watt light on tank(just enough for me to focus on fish)
I place a 430ex wireless flash above my tank.

With correct setting and the 15 watt light given footprint of the tank will give me complete darkness for my backgrounds....The above flash only highlights where I place it-Hence the fish being bright and having black background.


The actual color of my background is a light blue.

The Severum is highly over processed in photoshop
 
oh ok gotcha thats awesome though how it turned out, you got a pic without the sev photo-shopped?
