Personally i would have run the hose under the ceiling in long loops and move the water through slow to allow for the sun to heat it up before getting back into the pond. if you can actually double the poly and sandwich the hose between them it would most likely work even better IMO

This only a try. For seeing if it works. And it doesn't work:irked:

I believe the problem is in the way the hose is put in the box.

With a litle pump it works but i don't want that.

This weekend the weather wasn't good but i have done the changes in the system for heating the water.

Here it is:

Now i'm wayting for the the sun to try it.

there are hand cranked pumps you can get cant remember where that pump a high volume of water at low pressure so if you lifted the water a foot and just use a water fall effect to mix the water you will waist less energy

wow. after reading up to hear i am amazed. ive never thought of heating with black tubes and solar power; windmil for oxygen is amazing. and plus the fact that u already have ANOTHER greenhouse... im just jealous now

I'm interested to see how your solar heater does. A guy near here heats a barrel of water in his shed on his allotment with an old radiator painted black and enclosed in a box like yours.

Velo Bomba? Is that a bicycle pump???? I like your set up. By the way, I took the filter out of two of my tanks and you were right, the fish are fine...

I'm sure the solar heater works. I don't know yet if it's effective. With a bigger system, in the future if i could heat 1 or 2ºC in winter is very good. Is less electricity i have to spend.

No, it's not Velo Bomba but Veio Bomba. I don't know how to translate but is the main tube or center tube. But i believe it's not to dificult to implement this idea. I'm studying it.

YES. That's what i was thinking. Lots of plants and they do all the work.
