My Green Sunny

places like petsmart don't intentionally sell them, they get them in with the feeder fish at times and them sell them as feeders or since most places aren't licensed to sell natives they give them away, and green sunfish are very tough fish, i brought home one got a good bit of his tail eaten by a turtle and he recovered very well

I have one that I got out of the Petco plant tank for free. He was about 1" when I got him. That was 10 months ago and he is now living with a 5" bluegill in a 37 gal Eclipse system tank. He will eat anything that I throw in there including a pleco that was half his size. He is a very cool fish but he is very aggressive. I am always on the lookout for more.

Mine has grown alot since my last post in this thread hes pushing 4 inchs already, his tank mates are a perch, and a bluegill.

Well done to you and big ups for taking on an injured fish. Greens can be one of the most fun fish to keep, and often times have more personality that ough to be allowed. Best of luck.
