I have a male GT that I would like to breed, but whenever I go to the LFS, it is impossible to tell the difference between the sexes. What are the visual differences? And please dont ask me to flip them over and look at their holes underneath because thats not going to happen!
Easiest way is to look at the dorsal fin, males extend to a point and females are rounded. If they are small in the shop sub adult males may not be quite so obvious in which case get a couple that you think are females to pair with your male, then remove the others when a pair forms.
