Although it was easy to clean, I got sick of the bare bottom. My fish actually seem happier with some substrate in here. I bought some peace river gravel by CaribSea.

Nice looking setup! I dont like how in barebottom tanks the fish seem to be angled downward like theyre looking at their reflection on the bottom pane ya know. Theres a spot where my filter pushes the sand out of the way to the glass and even when my fish pass over it they look down at it. Probably stresses them out after a while

Thanks guys! They are turning out to be quite nice lookin bass. This new substrate really helps the kels show their colors. Best 200 bucks I ever spent! I actually got one to eat some shrimp the other night. The rest weren't to happy about something new. Looks like I'll be buying massivore a lot.
