My GT still has clear/white poops sometimes... but found NOTHING under the scope

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's good that a change in diet has help with his problem. Being full all the time probably stressed him out, and cause him to shed his intestinal lining, hence the clear poo.

I would get him New Life Spectrum Algaemax as his long term veggie alternative once you are out of Hikari algae wafers or Northfin Veggie pellets. The AlgaeMax has many aquatic veggies like 3 kinds of seaweed, kelp, and spirulina. They come in 2mm pellets and wafers. The diet would alternate between regular pellet and veggie pellet every other day, so it would be like regular pellet Mon, Algaemax Wed, regular pellet Fri, etc.

So a little update.

I been continuing to feed less and less to try and get his belly less full and since then no clearish poops any longer. I will make sure not to overfeed going forward.

Thanks for all the help guys.

BTW .... I have probably mentioned this a hundred times or more over the years, but raw uncooked peas are not healthy for a fish. The peas may also be irritating your fish, better to stick with aquatic based plant matter as Rocksor recommended. Good luck.
