Better be careful of too much stress on the haits. If they are in a tank situation where they are not dominant, they may stress and bloat. I've seen it before. They are always best kept to themsleves IMO.

Ive read that about them in numerous threads! I started off with 6 one inchers, put them in a 60G as the smallest fish with festae, umbees, and larger ebjds. I feed them twice a day with high protein pellets, and keep them at 75F. I didnt mean to do the exact opposite of what was recommended, but thats the way it worked out and they remain healthy at 2-3". No deaths! At what size did these blacks bloat?

I see your from NY..if your not far from Syracuse I have a Festae thats around 7inch if you want to trade..=P not sure the sex of the Festae though..

Fish trade! post pics, you should be able to sex them at that size
