MY HOB KEEPS CLOGGING?!

i have had my tank for 5 months and it just started to clog a month ago. i wasn't that bad until now. there is hardly any water flow, so no as much aireation. how should i unclog it, the most convenient way and the best way? it is a top fin 29 gallon and all i do is replace the filter media every month. and yes i am going to upgrade in a little bit.
 
What kind of filter is it? how often do you clean the filter on a regular basis? Stupid question I know, but you failed to tell us your filter maintance.

take apart the filter.. like intake tubes, impeller, and the thing that connects them.. the could be something in there thats restricting the flow of water..

if its ur actual pad thats clogging up fast.. just rinse with tank water each week when you do a waterchange..
 
you may want to add a sponge on the intake of the filter to prevent so much clogging, then just rinse the sponge when doing a WC
