My Homemade Canopy Revealed!

Hey everybody. I got my canopy for my 125 built and sanded, but it still needs to be pretreated, stained, and clear coated yet. I just wanted to see how it looks and I have to be honest, a store bought canopy for $400 more wouldn't have looked as good. I made this so I can finally plant my 125. It's got 3 magnet locking doors, and 6 100w light bulbs allowing me to plant some high maintenance greenery. Any other questions, feel free to ask!

The CFLs would be good over Oscars? Not plants. Just Oscars? Think I'm going to steal your idea if the answer is yes.

Sorry, WOULD those bulbs be ok over an Oscar tank. No plants, Just Oscars. Right now I'm running them damn expensive things from the Pet store. With UVb or whatever in them. Been trolling here and am pretty sure that I read something regarding Os don't need all that expensive lighting?
 
Nah man my friend John has a 110 oscar/albino tank and hes got 4 of these bulbs over his tank. He's had 3 of his oscars for 2 years and they're doing fine. I thought you were initially saying these bulbs aren't good for plants. So I started thinking.. uugghh wtf haha. But phew. Oscar tank shouldn't be a problem.
 
OK thanks. I have everything I need to convert my canopy over in my garage. I love having a Bro in law in Construction he brings all kinds of goodies home from remodels.
 
Awesome dude. That's a definite plus. My uncle's a total handyman and he drew up the plans for this with me. I cannot wait to go binge my xmas money on some plants for this. I'm so excited!
