The species variant has some interesting coloring and also nice bold vertical stripes without the typical "herring bone" connection between them. Nice Hoplias.
Got the hoplias in my 1600 gal aquarium where it has gained another inch or so in length and put on alot of bulk.
Very f-ing nice make my common wolf look like boo boo NICE Im about ask my importer I need 1 LOL

Was experimenting with my new camera and you can really see how beautiful this wolf fish actually is.
Makes you wonder just how many subspecies there are out there.stunning fish. The vertical stripes are really great. Thanks for the pictures.
This fish is now edging past 18 inches long it has grew over 4 inches since i moved it into my 1600gal.
