My In the Wall Tank build...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Look into a group of exodons. They are a little aggressive but they shouldn't bother the turtles, very active and not large growing.

a school of clown loaches would be nice but i dont want fish that stay on bottom because razorbacks stay on bottom alot also.. so then itll look like i have no fish swimmin in top half tank.. lol.. plus they get pretty large a school would eventually be too big for even a 200 gal.. i dont get fish that i cant keep forever due to size

A group of about 8 of them would be fine for life in a 200 gallon tank. Fifteen inches is a monstrous CL, and I only know of 2 fish (one in the US and one in the UK) that ever even got close to that size. Eight to 10 inches is a more realisitc size. If you have ever seen a healthy school of these guys, they don't stay on the bottom at all. They do tend to spend most of their time in the lower 1/2 of the tank, but not on the bottom.

Another colorful option might be jewel cichlids.

I really like the build so far, its gonna be nice!

- How about some geos?

This is the stock list im considering what ya think...
2 Razorback Musk Turtles
2 Electric Yellow
5 Tiger Barb
3 Clown Loaches
6 Zebra Danios

I personally do not like mixing African cichlids with my Old Americans.....Why, because of the water chemistry needed..........A higher PH.........Everytime there is a water change needed to be done, the PH also has to be leveled off by pouring some chemical into the water.........Plus, having a fish derived all the way from Africa mixed with the MUSK turtle sounds off.............Sure nice coloration, but the whole mixing throws me off...........The Tiger BArbs I like.......In a 200g, I would put 5 dozen..............
