My indoor pond

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Haha. Thanks for the compliments. However I am not a bro, I am one of those 'rare' female monster fish owners. I have to go into the shop today so I will take pics of every thing.
It is actually a chrome plating shop. Behind the pond(wall) is a copper plating line and buffing machines, to the right of the pond is a gun bluing line, behind me is the chrome plating and nickel plating shop. The pond is in the middle of everything.

No Way, you type just like a Bro...:ROFL:

Apparently the air quality is very good in there, last plating shop I was in corroded the lenses in my glasses :D.

Where at in Michigan?

Hurry up with the pix !!!

Giggle. I don't look like a bro. I do play with guns though.
In the Mt.Clemens area. The air is beyond clean in there. No vents. No fumes. I had 20 foot tall palm trees behind the pond till one year it got hot and the air conditioner got turned on. It was right over the top of them. Ooops. Palm trees don't like it cold. I had canaries in my office till I moved my office back home (took them with me). I replaced them with lower maintenence mice since I only go to work 2 or 3 days a week.
See all the tanks? A Jack Dempsey, an Oscar, tropicals, brackish and you can see the stingray tank way in the front of the shop. See the wallpaper border over them? It matches the aircompressor. Do you doubt my femaleness now? Don't worry, I am not too girly. I built the pond myself - including the faux stone covering the cinderblocks. Broke all my damn nails doing it.

Alright so I know i'm late on this one BUT,
Yay! another female monster lover and keeper. :headbang2
Great pond! I'll hopefully be building one of those this summer, just on a smaller scale.
What kind of guns do you like to play with?:naughty:

Alright :mwave: I'm nominating you for girl MFK'er of the year!!! If you win you get a Lifetime subscription to M.A.N. :D(ironic huh?).

Outstanding collection of waterworks.

Hey, do you know where the S.W. corner of Jefferson Ave. and the Spillway is?

Thanks for sharing with us and feel free to post more pix nobody will mind.
(as a matter of fact, since you said you have rays, you know have to post their pix too ;))

Ever thought of just moving to Florida? It would be easier on you.

Why yes I do know where that is as a matter of fact. Used to sell carp and catfish there. Ever eat at Terrys Terrace? Go to school at Jefferson elementary (which later became an administration building), how about the dairy queen? I grew up by metro beach.
I posted pics of the rays in another thread.
I play with lots of guns. Everything from little .22 derringers to big ole 50 cal monsters. Old early 1800's guns to brand new off the line. I am ordering a cute little .25 cal taurus - nickel with pink pearl handles and gold accents. I can't wait.
Here's the boss's office that I decorated. Lots of dead things except FISH!!!

Nice decorating . I also like things that make noise :D.

Do you remember a Large ranch house on that corner? (pre-1965) (Velger's boat livery was on the northside of the spillway)

I went to Jefferson elementary a long time ago...

Dairy Queen? Loigi's Pizza was right beside Jefferson El. (southside)

A&W ? Frosty root beer and a tootsie roll in it (turned hard as a rock :grinno:).

We used to watch the fireworks there from our backyard.

I was glad we weren't there when the lake almost died.
