My inside ray tank

My adventure.

In my house i have a litle corner and i decided to use it to make a ray tank.

the corner is this one

I took all the junk out

then i put stirofoam for mantaining the temperature and o wood to close

The seeling is very low, it's an area under the stairs, so i asked my son and my wife to help me.

After that i used lake liner

Then i fill it up

The biologic filter is a bucket fill with bioballs

And it's done.

It's working for a long time now and next week is going to receive is first ray.

The other biologic filter is this diy that i've made with a friend.

We used this 2 recipients

Then we made this holes

and we fill with this material. I don't know the name for it in english. It's used in the house constructions.

Then i stole this tupperware from my wife. She didn't like it. And we have done some more holes.

This is for mechanical filtration and for reciving the water from the pump.

No, no. The outdoor pond (the one that is going to be inside my greenhouse) is for Motoro rays and for testing. And is going to happen. But i want to cover and finish the greenhouse first.

This one, that is done since November 2007, is for other ray species and for Motoros if needed, until the greenhouse is not finished.

In this moment i have some cichlids in this one.

Nice! Quick and simple. You might want to get a dehumidefier and a clear lid to keep humidity down.
