a lot of lfs is a joke ... i got tired of em and just go to the ones where i can actually get fish now ^^;;

they have claws they hit the glass with...it CAN break glass

technically its not the claws themselves hitting the glass but the resulting waves from the sonic boom that cause the glass to crack and most tanks are tempered so they shatter. rarely will a basher accidentally hit the tank while subduing prey.

Louie: the pistol shrimp's "click" has been know to burn hotter than the surface of the sun. the instant friction between the air bubble and the water causes this.

i saw it on NGC too...but it wasnt mantis shrimp
