Don't really know if you could do much. But I might be wrong, any experts here who can help out a brother MFKer?
 
if the stomach looks like that for a couple of weeks as noted and the conditons haven't changed for it to lay eggs, then prolly something else.

ive been worried im not feeding enough i only feed once a day for over 6 mths now just a pinch of flake and a pinch of sinking cichlid pellet and he or she is 8-9 inches andtheres a 8 inch blackbelt and a5-6 inch catfish in the tank also
 
Its bloat. If not cured soon, it would die in a few days. My EBJD male did this 2 months ago. Just do a google search on curing fish with bloat.
